Cherry Point HOA Meeting Notice - 1/22/19 & 1/23/19

Post date: Jan 9, 2019 6:10:57 PM

The Cherry Point HOA Board is inviting you to attend an information meeting to review and discuss the proposed revisions to the current CC&Rs (Code Covenants & Restrictions). Members of the HOA Board will be present to discuss and respond to questions.

The meeting will be held at TJ High School from 6:00 - 8:00 PM:

    • Tuesday January 22, 2019

    • Wednesday January 23, 2019

As many of you know, the CC&Rs have not been updated for more than 60 years. Times have changed since this subdivision was created and we need to update the CC&Rs as well. Members of the HOA Board (and Block Captains) have worked for months to review / discuss / improve and refine this original document to better align with current homeowner lifestyles, market conditions and general improvements to our beautiful neighborhood. Changes affected include (but are not limited to)

    • Improving CC&R language in general, making terms clearer to follow.

    • Better alignment of the City of Denver’s Planning Regulations.

    • Helping to simplify Architectural Reviews

      • Remodels, Additions and Fences

    • Short Term Leasing and Renting

As noted in several past newsletters, this CC&R update will require formal vote of the Cherry Point Subdivision Homeowners. We expect the voter packets to be distributed to all residences by early February 2019. The proposed text of the CC&Rs has been posted since mid-December, 2018 on the Cherry Point website.

Our HOA Board wants your feedback and support of this monumental effort. These two meetings will be your opportunity to provide comments and share feedback in person to members of the Board. So that we can hear from as many as possible, each homeowner will be offered 3-minutes commentary time, like that of a public meeting. You can also provide written commentary as well. Please feel free to share that with HOA Board -- cherry-point-hoa-board@googlegroups.com Some of you already have.

Like you, the HOA Board wants what’s best for this subdivision and the Cherry Point neighborhood. Please take the time to be a part of this major event.

Thank you in advance.

Ken Cilia HOA Board President

Neal Meier HOA Board Vice President

Teresa Sparkman HOA Treasurer
